These type of places give me anxiety which is ironic because there is much less interaction with workers since you order on iPads. Honestly i got the Mongolian chicken noodles and I loved that I could pick up to 14 types of vegetales/ toppings. I have no complains for this specific meal except for the trickiness with pickup ( because yiu also have to input your receipt in a computer to know which window to get from. Maybe I'm not as te h savvy as I thought but this place wasn't the easiest to navigate.

The name of the business is confusing already to begin with. I think it should be Melrose Food CO. so people can easily find it. I had to google it. Come to think of it this whole concept is confusing, but it works. I found this place on social media. I was look for a Mongolian dish that had me drooling all over my screen. I punched the addy on my phone and I was on my way. It's somewhat is k-town area. If you don't know what that means it's hard to find parking and traffic. Nonetheless I went during the week early in the day and found metered parking next door. As I approach "Melrose Food Co" I see what seems to be a postal service or P.O. box looking. I saw a couple delivery services pull up and go to a box, get a bag, and leave. I asked the person in front of me how can I order and she mentioned through a delivery service. I decided to go directly to there website and saw numerous business they offered. So pretty much you chose where you want to order from, place your order, pay, then receive a text message to confirm your order, then when your food is ready they text you a box number where your food will be ready for pick. I didn't wait long about 10 mins. Because of covid and no seating allowed I think this is super convenient. I think its just getting familiar with how it works. but the food is fresh and prepared at an appropriate time.

I believe this place is also called the West & Mel Food Co. It's primarily for meal deliveries and has a system where drivers can check in and pick up their orders. The concept is a little confusing to me but it seems like it's primarily a food hub for things like ChowNow and PostMates but with an option of placing personal orders. There are various restaurants within the location but only one pick up window so it's NOT a food hall where you can go up to the individual restaurants. I came on a Saturday night and had to place my order at the window with The Rice Guys because the iPad for ordering was out of order. The wait wasn't bad (5-10 minutes) but I'm sure that's dependent on which restaurant your ordering from. It would be helpful if there's a website for this place soon with more information on how it functions because I'm still a little confused about how it all works after my visit.
